Virtual: Palliative Care Case Studies with Dr. Khouri

Dr. Erin Khouri is board certified in Emergency Medicine as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  She serves as an assistant professor, in the department of internal medicine at UMKC and a Palliative medicine physician at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City.  She holds a Master's of Arts in Health Policy & Bioethics. Join Dr. Khouri as we discuss supportive and palliative medicine and how it intersects with acute care in progressive and critical care nursing.  Dr. Khouri will be sharing case studies as learning opportunities as we discuss life supporting treatments, moral distress and ethical dilemmas.  Come to learn, share stories and improve our understanding of what it means to offer supportive and palliative treatments in the hospital setting.
